Welcome to San Marco

The perfect mix of urban and suburban appeal

Situated along the scenic St. Johns River and across from bustling downtown Jacksonville is the neighborhood of San Marco. The area was formerly known as South Jacksonville until it gained its current title in 1932 with the construction of the San Marco Development. This historic commercial development was so successful and brought so much business to the area that San Marco became the newly adopted name of the neighborhood.

The town center is modeled after San Marco Square in Venice and highlights decorated fountains, walkable streets full of lively entertainment and dining, and stunning views of the warm Florida waters. Various architectural designs, including Mediterranean buildings, Victorian and Spanish mansions, and classic Bermuda-style homes, can be seen throughout the area. This eclectic mixture is perfect for individuals who appreciate classically designed properties.

The harmony between suburban and urban appeal makes San Marco a unique and exciting neighborhood. San Marco has comfortable weather year-round and 14 parks within its boundaries, which are excellent for enjoying the outdoors.
